Book Girl’s Big Read Writing Contest
Book Girl has opened a writing contest for listeners of LU Radio to celebrate LU Radio’s Fund Drive, March 2013. Listen to CILU live at 102.7 FM or stream online at luradio.ca.
Contest Rules:
- Contest entries must include a reference to either LU Radio or Book Girl. (setting, destination, character, commentary…) Any style of writing – story (fiction or non-fiction) poetry, essay, monologue, memoir, etc.
- Word Count – Prose: 300 to 800 words; poem or set of poems: 50 to 400 words
- Manuscripts should be typed in easy to read font (Arial, Times Roman, Verdana…), 12 pt, double spaced
- No electronic entries
- No profanity as the winning entries will be read on air.
- Judging will be blind. Please include your name, phone number or email on a separate sheet of paper. Do not include your name on the submitted manuscript.

- Winning authors will be interviewed on Book Girl’s Big Read (if they choose)
