Workshop: Voice in Writing

October 27th, 2009

What elements make a particular character sound like no other character in the story — and no other person in the world? What is the relationship between a narrator of a story and the characters in it?

Roy Blomstrom’s workshop, “Voice in Writing,” will address these and other related questions. You’ll have the chance to practice developing and changing the voice of characters and narrators.

Roy taught high school English in the Lakehead Public School system for more than 30 years. He has published essays, short stories, poetry, and newspaper columns.

Bring a friend and join us at 7 p.m., AFTER NOWW’s ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING, in the Waverley Library Auditorium, 285 Red River Road, Thunder Bay, on Tuesday, October 27.
