Edgar J. Lavoie

Edgar J. Lavoie, after a 35-year career in education, which included several positions of responsibility, now devotes himself fulltime to writing. Between 1974 and 1985, he founded, edited, and published a little regional magazine, The Squatchberry Journal. He published numberless articles and columns in magazines and newspapers, and wrote several local history books, such as …And the Geraldton Way and March of Times Star: 1945-65. In 2011 he published The Beardmore Relics, a mystery novel set in Northwestern Ontario. He is currently working on the second novel in the series. He also has several book manuscripts which he must find time to prepare for publication.

He and his spouse, Olga, live in the boreal forest north of Thunder Bay, in a big cabin on a big lake in the region of Greenstone.
